Our Story
God’s People Project was founded by two Christian college athletes who believe that everyone deserves a second chance. What began with giving a homeless person $5, grew into a mission to help people rebuild their lives and find hope again. We believe these are our brothers and sisters in Christ, and it is our responsibility to love them, serve them, and remind them that they are seen and valued. We know that a single act of kindness may not change someone’s entire life, but it can be the beginning of something greater. Through God’s People Project, we hope to provide more than temporary help, we want to provide compassion, resources, and an opportunity for a new beginning.
Someone’s income does not make them better than anyone else, nor does it give us the right to judge. A person struggling with addiction is still a person worthy of love, dignity, compassion, and a second chance. Nearly 90% of adults experiencing homelessness have experienced at least one adverse childhood experience, reminding us that behind every person is a story we may never know. These aren’t just statistics; they’re our brothers and sisters in Christ.
